This project includes the pavement replacement of Riverside Drive from NM 528 (South) to NM 528 (North), replacement of the waterline, updating curb ramps for ADA compliance, intersection lighting, adding a raised median throughout, median landscaping, and pavement marking.
This project is funded through New Mexico Department of Transportation funds, voter-approved G.O. Bond funds and Utilities Department funds.
Phase I – Construction of Riverside Dr. southbound lane with one way traffic in northbound direction only, see map.
Phase II – Construction of Riverside Dr. northbound lane with one way traffic in southbound direction only, see map.
February 2023: Switch traffic lanes
January 2023: Paving begins on southbound lane
December 2022: Construction of ADA ramps and median curb
November 2022: Installation of water line and ADA ramps
October 2022: Project work begins and will last 6 months
June 2022: Project bids opened and the selected contractor working to procure materials for construction
March 2022: Project bid package being assembled and advertised
December 2021: Design completed
